KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Efrain Varela Ortega, 28, of St. George, Utah, Sunday evening. At 8:45 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Northern Avenue near North Pinal Street. Deputies contacted the driver identified as Ortega by his Mexico identification card. With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Ortega was determined to be an illegal immigrant. Ortega was taken into custody and transported to Mohave County Jail where ICE later took him into custody.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Troy Alan Crim, 40, of Kingman, Saturday morning on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and warrants. At 12:57 a.m., deputies observed two suspicious subjects, a male and female, in an alleyway on the west side of the 3500 block of Hearn Avenue. Deputies observed the male subject drop something over a fence. Deputies contacted both subjects. They questioned the male subject, identified as Crim, regarding what was dropped over the fence line. Crim said that he did not drop anything. From inside the fence line, deputies retrieved a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. A records check showed Crim to have misdemeanor warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court for failure to appear and contempt of court. He was taken into custody and booked in the Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested two illegal immigrants Friday evening. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling 35 miles per hour in a posted 25 mph zone. At 9:45 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Sierra Vista near Bank Street. They contacted the driver and two passengers. Both passengers allegedly advised that they were living in the United States illegally. The passengers were identified as Miguel Suenz Suarez and Santiago Suarez, both 18 years of age and Kingman residents. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on the subjects after speaking with them. They were taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where ICE later took them into custody. The driver was given a verbal warning.
