KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Thomas Allen McCarty, 41, of Kingman Tuesday on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant. At 6:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Pinal and Gordon and contacted McCarty, the driver. A records check showed McCarty to have a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. McCarty was taken into custody without incident. A search of McCarty revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe and a plastic bag containing a crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. McCarty was booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Units responded Wednesday morning to a missing elderly female suffering from dementia. SAR units were advised that Verna Montgomery, 72, was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. Wednesday morning. Apparently, Montgomery left her residence at Cerbat Guest Home, 2364 Carver Avenue, on foot. At 8:57 a.m., Montgomery was located at her sister's house in the 3100 block of Leroy Avenue. Montgomery was OK and did not need medical attention.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Chad Michael Benjamin, 22, of Kingman Wednesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant. Deputies observed Benjamin walking east on Diagonal Way from Able Drive. Deputies suspected Benjamin to have an active warrant and a records check confirmed a felony warrant for drug paraphernalia violation issued by Kingman Justice Court. At 4:40 p.m., deputies contacted Benjamin on Diagonal Way at Mallard Drive and took him into custody without incident. He was booked in the Mohave County Jail.
