I would like to commend the class of 2009 Kingman Academy of Learning Middle School for their "class" act on June 3 at their commencement ceremonies. The pride these students take in their school, faculty and charter board is outstanding.
My husband and I attended our daughter's graduation and we were very impressed by this special event. The ceremony began on time with the school's principal, Ms. Day, starting the ceremonies by welcoming the audience, introducing the staff and board members and thanking all the KAOL schools, teachers and principals for their work in bringing these junior high graduates to where they are today.
The evening began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Wyatt McCord and an invocation from Nicholas Hilleymeyer. The students and audience in attendance was so respectful of the introductions, speeches and throughout the entire evening. Kingman was at its best on Wednesday night at KAOL.
I was so proud to have my daughter's graduation be such a highlight in her life. The most impressive part of the evening, aside from seeing all the students passing on to their high school years, was the speeches from the students. The students really appreciated the staff, their principal and even spoke of their years attending the grammar and intermediate KAOL schools. A young lady, Alexa Russo, pleased the crowd by performing "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus, and the Chime Choir performed beautifully. Both Russo and the choir have a lot to be proud of.
This class of KAOL 2009 will be one of the finest graduating classes in 2013 from KAOL High School. I'm looking forward to the moment my daughter graduates, knowing that KAOL will expect nothing but the best from their students and the events that they host throughout the year.
