The Mohave Museum of History and Arts presented an official unveiling Friday of the new portraits of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama painted by local artist Sandy Rusinko. From left to right are local attorney and museum Board Member Bill Porter, who financed the paintings, museum Board President Lorraine Hunt, Sandy and Mike Rusinko and Patrick Gonzales, county chair of the Democratic Party. The portraits are part of a now complete collection of painted portraits of United States Presidents and First Ladies, going all the way back to George and Martha Washington. The collection is one of only two or three complete portrait collections that include First Ladies that are on display in the United States. For more information on Rusinko's paintings and commissions, call her at 692-8205.
