Jimmy Carl Duncan's struggle and pain ended on March 10, 2009, when he went home to be with his Lord and Savior and beloved wife, Vicki.
Jimmy Carl was born in Morenci, Ariz., on March 8, 1941, to Carl and Walter Duncan. He and his family lived on a ranch in Greenlee County along the Gila River until moving to Wikieup. He spent most of his life in Mohave County living in Wikieup by the Big Sandy River. His adventurous spirit took him to many places and he made many friends on his life's journey.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Tarvin; sons, Jason Hayman and Jesse Rice; grandchildren, Erica, Andy, Karly and Brady Tarvin; brother, Worth (Elane) Duncan; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Walter; his sister, JoAnne Stockbridge-Blackwell; and his wife, Vicki.
There will be a celebration of Jimmy Carl's life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Firefighters' Park on Detroit Avenue.
