"Law Day Afternoon" was celebrated in the Mohave County Courthouse Friday. The theme was "A Legacy of Liberty - Celebrating Lincoln's Bicentennial," as 2009 is the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Hostess Doreen Ruggles gave an introduction and led the Pledge of Allegiance, the Honorable Rick A. Williams read the Gettysburg Address, County Attorney Matthew J. Smith gave a keynote speech and there was a presentation of essay winners from Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center. The Lake Havasu City Teen Court (pictured) held a mock trial in the historical courtroom of the third floor.
