KINGMAN -Mohave County Sheriff's deputies are asking the public for help in locating Bennie Bernard Masters, 30.
He is wanted in connection with an attempted murder Thursday morning. Masters is a white male, 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous. MCSO is asking the public not to approach or contact Masters. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Masters is asked to contact Detective Stout, Mohave County Sheriff's Office, at (928) 753-0753 or Silent Witness at (888) 227-8780.
At 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to a call of a stabbing in the 4100 block of Eagle Drive. Deputies found Lloyd Willard McGowan, 51, of Kingman in the front yard of a home bleeding severely from numerous lacerations.
McGowan said he was riding his bicycle home after visiting a friend and stopped to talk with Masters near Quail Lane and Eagle Drive. Masters suddenly pushed him off his bike and started stabbing him. McGowan was able to make it to a near-by residence for help. He was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and later flown to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.
McGowan told deputies that the attack was sudden and unprovoked.
