KINGMAN - A Kingman man is in critical condition following an accident in Las Vegas Tuesday.

Allen Blunk, 20, was one of two riders Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say were speeding and popping wheelies down Sahara Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

The pair were headed west on Sahara on two separate motorbikes when they both hit a 2004 Mercedes that was traveling eastbound and was making a left-hand turn onto Edmond Street.

The first rider, an unidentified 22-year-old male, hit the rear end of the Mercedes, according to police. Blunk hit the front of the Mercedes.

Blunk was thrown from his 2007 Suzuki and taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. The 22-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 62-year-old driver of the Mercedes was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Blunk's Suzuki continued traveling after he was thrown from the motorbike and hit a mini-van that was stopped at the intersection headed south on Edmond Street. That driver was not injured.
