We would like to thank everyone on the KRMC Hospice team for the wonderful care you provided our father, Claire Stevens, during his illness: his primary care nurse, Darlene; his hospice Chaplain, Pastor Denny; the CNA, Peggy; and his social worker, Bess.
The hospice team made a very emotional time bearable to the entire family. Our mother, Avonelle, would not have been able to care for Claire by herself, in their home, without the gracious support of hospice. There is no doubt that she would have been forced to put Claire in a long-term care home for a substantial time frame.
Because of the KRMC hospice team, Claire was able to stay in the comfort of his own home and was with his wife and family until his final day.
We would also like to thank Mike from Uptown Drug for his service. You were always so kind every time you stopped to make a delivery.
We were all very touched and want to thank Darlene, Bess, Pastor Denny, and Mike for taking the extra time after our father passed away to stop by and check on our mother, Avonelle, just to see how she was doing.
With our heartfelt gratitude,
The family of Claire W. Stevens
