Valle Vista election held

The annual meeting was held at the Clubhouse Sept. 25 and the results were announced by the Election Committee.

Nick Fix and Bob Lathroum will serve for three years, Nancy Moscheau and Shirley Alvitre-Johnson will serve for two years, and Bill Meehan and Sam Battersby will serve for one year. The officers for this year will be determined this week.

The results of the Poker Run are in. Katherine Cliche had a full house and finished first, followed by Vicki Hoag and Bill Slankard, who also had full houses. Gary Couts had 542 points, followed by Jim Lewis with 464 and Irene Lewis with 450. Amy Lowery won the 50/50. Congratulations to all our winners.

The Valle Vista Library's Fall Book and Bake Sale is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the library. There are some bargains available and of course great goodies at the bake sale.

A four-player scramble golf tournament to raise funds to landscape the area by the bar tees off on Oct. 24. More information will be out soon, and sign-up sheets will be at the Clubhouse.

The Men's Club had 26 members play to a format of individual low net, flighted on Sept. 26. Ron Lidge won the A Flight, followed by Bill McIntosh and Mike Back. Cecil Smith was first in the B Flight, followed by Dave Kelley and Don Hudgins.

Closest to the pin went to Glen Woosley on 2, Lodge on 7, Back on 11 and Dean Maryott on 16.
