KINGMAN - The team of Art Fuller and Mike Miller didn't get a lot of bites during the one-day tournament at Lake Mohave, but they made the ones they got count, easily winning the Kingman Bass Club's monthly tournament held out of Princess Cove.
Fuller/Miller checked in a five-fish limit that weighed 10.59 pounds that included the second largest bass brought to the scales. That bass weighed 2.43 pounds. Fuller said Miller caught two bass on a power worm and he caught three using a drop shott technique and that all five of those fish were good solid keepers.
"We only got a couple more fish after we caught those first five, but none were better than we had, and so we didn't cull any fish," Fuller said.
Roger Miller and his partner Greg Parker came in second place, checking in a five-fish limit that weighed 9.34 pounds, including the tournament's largest fish, a lunker that weighed 2.63 pounds.
A total of six teams fished in the event, which was the ninth tournament of the 2009 tournament trail for the local anglers.
