Leslie E. Bartholomew, 83, of Kingman died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at The Gardens in Kingman. He was born May 24, 1926, in Clay Township, N.D.
He came to Kingman five years ago after living in Salome, Ariz., for 10 years and in California for 60 years.
He was chief of police, a rancher/farmer, and a camper shell manufacturer. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Leslie is survived by his son, Les Bartholomew of California; two daughters, Pat Tays of Oregon and Twila Chism of California; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, followed by the service at 11 at First Church of the Nazarene, 4715 Stockton Hill Road. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road, will follow the end of the church service.
