KINGMAN - Ramp closures on Interstate 40 through Kingman originally scheduled to start Monday have been pushed back to this evening.
Additionally, the closure schedule has been changed.
The eastbound ramps on Andy Devine Avenue will remain the first to close this evening, reopening Thursday morning.
They will be followed by the westbound Andy Devine ramps, which will close Thursday and reopen Friday.
All closures will last from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
On Friday, the westbound ramps at Stockton Hill Road will be closed, with the eastbound ramps following on Saturday.
The westbound ramps at Beale Street will close Sunday and the eastbound ramps Monday.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the delay was the result of "unforeseen issues producing paving materials."
The ramp closures are among the final components of ADOT's $5.7 million effort to repave 10 miles of I-40 running through Kingman from Rattlesnake Wash to Holy Moses Wash.
The project is scheduled for completion sometime in November, though an exact date has unknown.
