This weekend,  October 31st - November 1st, St. Mary Roman Catholic Church will celebrate the Feast of All Saints.  The weekend Mass schedule is as follows:

Saturday, October 31st:

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.  Confession (Confesión)

5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass  (All Saints)

Sunday, November 1st: (All Saints)

8:00 a.m. Mass

10:30 a.m. Mass

5:00 p.m. Misa en español  (Mass in Spanish)

Monday, November 2nd:  (All Souls)

6:00 p.m. Commemoration of the Faithful Departed (All Souls)

Note: There is no morning Mass on 10-2-2009; only the 6:00 p.m. evening  Mass.

Call the Parish Office at 753-3359 for additional information on Reconciliation (Confession) , daily Mass times, etc.

All Saints/All Souls:  All Saints will be celebrated at weekend Masses this week as listed above. The All Souls Mass will be on Monday, November 2nd, at 6 p.m. at St. Mary Church. Everyone is invited to enter the name of their departed family members and friends in the All Souls Intention Book that is available in the vestibule. Just a reminder:  There will be no morning Mass that date. So please note the change of Mass time on your personal calendar!

The Knights of  Columbus and the St. Vincent de Paul Society will be hosting a Thanksgiving Day dinner for the less fortunate on November 26th  at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Donation of funds and nonperishable food - especially potato mix, stuffing mix, canned corn, canned cranberry sauce and pumpkin pies are needed. Please leave a message for Jerry Carreiro at the Parish Center to arrange for the pick up of your donation.

The annual Jail Ministry Christmas Gift Bag project is kicking off the 2009 effort. Donations of new Word Find or Crossword Puzzle Books; coloring books; new or gently-used appropriate men's and women's magazines -  secular or religious; decks of playing cards; individually-wrapped hard candy pieces, etc. Funds are also appreciated to purchase items in which there are shortages. Last year, over 500 Christmas gift bags were assembled and distributed to men, women and juveniles who were in carcerated in Mohave County facilities during the holidays. Volunteers are also needed to count and prepare the donated magazines and materials. If you are willing to give a few hours of your time to assist in this project, please call the Parish Center at 753-3359.

Operation HOPE, the annual Christmas food assistance program, is requesting donations of funds for this effort. If you would like to make a check in support of this cause, please make it out to St. Vincent de Paul - Operation Hope. You may drop off your gift at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store (218 E. Beale) or at the Parish Center. For questions, please call 753-3359.

The annual Fall Coat Distribution sponsored by the Optimist Club, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Andy's Cleaners, has begun! Coats will be given out - free of charge - to those in need - during October at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, 218 E. Beale, on Monday - Wednesday - Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For questions, call 753-4399.

This liturgical year, 2009-2010, has been proclaimed the Year of the Priest by Pope Benedict XVI. We urge everyone to join our Holy Father in praying for vocations and for all Priests, Deacons, Religious and seminarians, as they fulfill their mission of spreading the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ!
