Wayne Clement Fisher finally got his prayers answered and went home to the Lord and loved ones on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009. He was born March 11, 1925, in Racine, Mo., to Andrew and Ina Scott Fisher.
He leaves behind his wife, Ida, of 64 years of marriage; his daughter, Sandra (Joe) Simko; son, John (Debra) Fisher; eight grandchildren; nine great grandkids; and two great-great-grandsons. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Boyd. Those who went before him were his daughter, Shirley, and his brother, Neil.
Wayne was a member of Valley Christian Church and a former member of Westside Christian Church in Parsons. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart, and 88th Infantry Division, California Chapter. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 68 of Bullhead City, a member of York Rite No. 50 and Scottish Rite.
While living in Kansas, he joined the Mirza Shrine in Pittsburg, Kan., where he became a hospital dad, member of greeters and legion of honor. Burial will be in the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
