Arizona State Prison-Kingman donated more than $15,000 to local charities on Sept. 4. Inmates at the prison raised the money by purchasing goods from Wal-Mart at twice the normal cost. The prisoners purchased 13 pallets of goods. The best seller was protein drink powder followed by Hershey Kisses and instant oatmeal. The extra money was split between three local charities, with each receiving about $5,000.
