Rotarians choose Acer for honor

KINGMAN - Hillary Acer, 17, was recently selected as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. Hillary is a senior at Kingman High School and her parents are Jim and Paula Acer.

Hillary said she was very honored to be selected as a Student Rotarian and thinks it is wonderful that students' hard work is recognized outside of school.

She founded a SADD chapter in her freshman year and has been president ever since. She has also been actively involved in Student Council (treasurer), Guide Dogs (treasurer/secretary), NHS, S-Club, Drama Club and Interact. She received two awards for track and field, MVP her sophomore years and Most Improved in her junior year. In her senior year, she received Most Inspirational.

She plans to attend a four-year university and study either biology or sports medicine. She plans to advance in the medical field and become a medical doctor.

In closing, she said, "Thank you very much for this honor!"
