The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission elected Carl Flusche from Lake Havasu City as the new commission chairman and Mehdi Azarmi from Mohave Valley as its new vice chair during its meeting Wednesday.
Flusche will replace former chair Earl Hamlyn who resigned April 1. Hamlyn was not at Wednesday's meeting.
District I Supervisor Gary Watson will appoint a new commissioner to fill Hamlyn's spot. The Board of Supervisors must approve the appointment.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says the man killed Monday night died of multiple gunshot wounds.
The body of Christopher J. Gillespie, 37, was discovered just after 9 p.m. Monday after his girlfriend led authorities to a location off of Old Trails Road.
The Sheriff's Office has released few details in the case except to say that it is being investigated as a homicide.
His girlfriend is not currently considered a suspect.
