KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Allen Andrews Jr., 19, of Golden Valley April 19 for felony aggravated assault with a deadly instrument per domestic violence. Deputies responded to the 3900 block of Bosque Road around 1:30 p.m. regarding an assault with an axe. While en route, dispatch advised that Andrews allegedly assaulted his stepbrother and left the residence traveling in a white Jeep Cherokee. Golden Valley Fire Department personnel and River Medical responded to the scene. The 23-year-old male victim was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center. Investigations determined that the two brothers were in a fight and Andrews grabbed a jack handle and injured his brother. Deputies observed the victim to have a 2-inch laceration across his lower back. Deputies located Andrews at a residence in the 4500 block of Burro Drive. During conversations with Andrews, he said he acted in self-defense. River Medical responded and treated Andrews's injuries, which consisted of a bump to his forehead, a bruise to his lower back area and abrasions to both arms. Andrews was arrested without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested two illegal immigrants April 20 during a traffic stop on Andy Devine Avenue near Second Street around 8 p.m. Deputies contacted the driver, Edwin Mauricio Sosa Castro, 24, of Kingman and passenger Melendez Castro, 30, of Kingman. With the assistance of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, they were determined to be illegal immigrants. They were taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where ICE later took them into custody.
