Mohave County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Units responded Aug. 10 to a report of a missing person in the Hualapai Mountains. The reporting party said that her mother was visiting from Iowa and had gone on a day hike in the Hualapais.
The woman said she received a call from her mother stating that she had become disoriented and had lost the trail on Aspen Peak, also known as Potato Patch Loop.
Search and Rescue Units from Kingman were deployed around 7 p.m. At about 9:30 p.m., the woman was located in good health off the east fork trail.
SAR personnel hiked her off of the mountain and back to her vehicle.
