KINGMAN - Several more residential burglaries have been reported following a spate of break-ins on Morrow Avenue last week.
Kingman Police said they are investigating four more burglaries in which entry was made through unlocked doors and open windows while the occupants were sleeping. The burglaries took place between midnight and 5 a.m. from Aug. 15 through Sunday in the 2700 block of Buckskin Avenue, the 600 block of Country Club Avenue and the 600 block of Carlton Street.
Police say easy-to-grab valuables, such as purses, cell phones, wallets and laptops, have been taken in each case. They call the recent incidents "crimes of opportunity" and recommend that people use preventative measures such as locking doors and windows and utilizing outdoor lighting.
Residents are also encouraged to report suspicious vehicles and persons during these hours.
Anyone with information on the burglaries is urged to contact Kingman Police Department by calling (928) 753-2191 or report anonymously by calling Mohave Silent Witness at (928) 753-1234.
