Thomas won't concede AG GOP nomination; Cobb leads Slaughter

KINGMAN - Former Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne is declaring victory in his race for the Republican nomination for Arizona Attorney General against former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas, according to the Arizona Republic.

Thomas has vowed not to concede the election until all of the votes are counted.

The Arizona Secretary of State's website at 8:30 a.m. on Monday showed Horne ahead by 854 votes.

The tight Republican race for Kingman Constable in Mohave County still stands with Mike Cobb leading John Slaughter by 44 votes.

The county is still counting several mail in and provisional ballots. A final total will not be known until Thursday. A recount of the ballots would be triggered if the final count shows only 10 votes difference between Cobb and Slaughter.
