From left, Paige Mousley, Courtney Cheatheam, teacher Jennifer Perea, Brandon Buchen and Ronnie Olsen, students from the Kingman Academy Of Learning Middle School, are shown with some of the 50 overseas boxes they had just finished assembling. The boxes are being sent to servicemen and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, to arrive in time for Christmas. All of the students at the school (some 350) participated in the project, writing letters, personalizing Christmas cards, obtaining donated items, packing and itemizing contents for the customs reports that are attached to the boxes at the time they are shipped overseas. Three teachers supervised the packing operation with the help of 10 parents. The Kingman Elks Lodge held a raffle in October to raise the $650 needed to pay the postage for the boxes.
