Kingman Police arrested Steven Lee Knight, 34, of Golden Valley Friday, Dec. 10, on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. Knight was the driver of a car stopped in the 1300 block of Northern Avenue around 9:30 p.m. for a traffic offense. It was found that his license was suspended. While being arrested, Knight was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
Kingman Police arrested Ismael Medina, 25, of Kingman Saturday, Dec. 11, on felony charges of resisting arrest, a failure to appear warrant and a misdemeanor charge of false information to police. Officers responded to a disturbance in an apartment in the 3300 block of Willow Road around 3:20 p.m. Medina was found to be the victim of an assault, where the female suspect was arrested. During this time, it was discovered that Medina provided a false name in an attempt to reportedly avoid detection of a felony warrant for failure to appear on a previous unrelated charge through Kingman Justice Court. Police said Medina also resisted officers when being arrested. The officers received minor injuries. Medina was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
