Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Roy Meek, 18, of Kingman Saturday for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrested Meek during an on-going investigation regarding the weapons offense incident that occurred Dec. 15, where a male subject driving a vehicle was approached by two male suspects in the 3700 block of East Diagonal Way. A white, male suspect pointed a handgun at the driver and the driver sped away. The investigation determined Meek to be the suspect with the handgun. Deputies contacted Meek at a residence in the 3600 block of Dove Lane around 12:15 a.m. During conversations with Meek, he reportedly said that the guy in the vehicle almost hit his friend and that he then pointed a BB gun at the driver. Meek was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Lahoma I Crook, 36, of Peach Springs Saturday for felony aggravated DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .20%. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Northern Avenue at Baker Drive around 3:15 p.m. and contacted Crook, the driver. Deputies reportedly smelled an odor of alcohol on Crook. During conversations with Crook, she allegedly admitted to drinking. A records check revealed Crook to have a suspended driver's license. Following the field sobriety tests, Crook was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Jail, where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration to be .208 percent. She was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
