KINGMAN - The committee for Women Making History is preparing for their annual Women Making History awards ceremony at 2 p.m. March 6 in the Mohave Museum of History and Arts. Seating is limited.
"Our History is Our Strength" is the 2011 theme for the National Women's History Month. The committee works in conjunction with the National Women's History Month project, which focuses on the rich and inspiring heritage of women's contributions in the United States. It sets aside the month of March every year to recognize and celebrate the lives of countless women of all races, ages, cultures, ethnic traditions, religious faiths and ways of life.
In the Kingman and outlying areas, women are honored in different categories such as: the arts, business, education, homemaking, pioneering, professions, public service, religion and volunteer contributions.
Nomination forms will be available in Kingman at the Mohave County Library, Mohave Community College, Chamber of Commerce and Mohave Museum of History and Arts. The deadline for submitting nomination forms is Jan. 21.

The community is encouraged to nominate qualified and deserving women, be it a relative, friend, neighbor, business associate, or any woman who has contributed to the betterment of Kingman.
