A pilot and passenger coming from Utah escaped injury after they made an emergency landing while en route to the Kingman Airport Thursday evening. The 2007 Piper Saratoga was forced to land two miles east of Stockton Hill Road in the Red Lake area, according to Fire Chief Pat Moore with Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District No. 1. The plane was completely destroyed by fire. Officials blamed the incident on a fuel leak that caused loss of fuel pressure.
