BLM energy meeting set

KINGMAN - The Bureau of Land Management hosts a series of meetings around Arizona this month to gather comments on its restoration design energy project.

The Kingman meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at La Senita Elementary School, 3175 Gordon Drive.

The project will identify previously developed sites with limited potential to be restored to their former state and see if they are a suitable location for a renewable energy project, such as a wind or solar farm.

Among the sites: 80 acres at the Mokaac grave pit in the Arizona Strip area, 20 acres at the Snowflake Mine in the Arizona Strip, 50 acres at the Silver Creek landfill near Lake Havasu City, 348 acres near Fredonia, 30 acres at the White Sage gravel pit in the Arizona Strip, 20 acres at the Fredonia landfill and 160 acres at the Page landfill.
