Gary Russell Chamberlain Sr., 58, of Kingman was born Oct. 8, 1951, and passed away Monday, July 5, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jessie "Irene" and Russell Chamberlain.
Gary married the love of his life on Feb. 22, 1973, and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen "Kitty." Gary is also survived by their six children, Dan, Gary Jr., Annie, Kevin and wife Aurora of Kingman, James and wife Angie of Ozark, Mo., Shannon and husband Tom of Mooresville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Kymberli, Emelia, James Jr. and Louis; his brother, Michael of Willard, Mo., and sister, Phyllis Sullivan of Springfield, Mo., and their families; mother-in-law, Teresa McClean; and many nieces, nephews and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Gary enjoyed playing and watching football, baseball and basketball as well as playing guitar and drums in his younger days. He loved playing video games with his children, watching movies and keeping in touch with family and friends.
He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Gary never liked long goodbyes; he would simply close every meeting and phone call with "Goodbye for now" so you always knew you were welcomed and expected to either see each other or speak again soon.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Bunker's Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, in Las Vegas.
