KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert McWilliams, 43, a transient, July 8 on a felony warrant for aggravated driving under the influence/license suspended. Deputies received a report of a subject refusing to leave a property in the 100 block of Houck Road in Golden Valley around 9:09 p.m. Upon their arrival, deputies found McWilliams on the property with his motor home. McWilliams was having difficulty getting the vehicle started and thus stated that he could not leave. During the investigation, McWilliams reportedly gave the officer false information, and when the correct information was provided, a search was conducted and the warrant was located. McWilliams initially was uncooperative, and after a brief altercation, he was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Jail, where he was booked without further incident.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Peggy Byers, 25, of Kingman and Travis Bradley, 29, of Kingman on July 9 on several felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and dangerous drugs. Deputies responded to a residence in the 2400 block of John L. Avenue to assist Child Protective Services on a welfare check of a small child. A consent search was conducted at the residence and numerous items consistent with drug paraphernalia were located in a bedroom. More items were located throughout the residence, including bongs, small plastic baggies with residue, glass pipes, scales and containers with green leafy substances. Both subjects admitted that the items were theirs. Both subjects were arrested without incident and transported to the Mohave County Jail. The small child was placed into the custody of a family member by CPS.
