Officer Ken Dinquel of the Arizona Game and Fish Department chats with Matt and Sadie Snay Thursday after a presentation on Operation Game Thief at the Mohave County Library-Kingman. Dinquel is program manager in Phoenix of OGT, which is a silent witness program that encourages the public to report suspicious activity or knowledge of a poaching violation. The number to report a poaching violation is (800) 352-0700. The hotline allows people to give tips anonymously and collect a reward if their information leads to an arrest. Officers at the event spoke about how poaching hurts wildlife and people and provided some examples of recently solved cases. The lecture was part of the Summer Wildlife Series put on annually by the Region III branch of Game and Fish. Presentations are from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Kingman library. The next lecture is "Fishing Arizona" on June 17, followed by "Hummingbirds" on July 1. For more information, call (928) 692-7700.
