The Fraternal Order of Eagles 3744 hosts a member appreciation barbecue, horseshoe tournament and new member drive starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at 4536 N. Patsy Drive.

The public is invited. Food is $5 a plate, with proceeds benefiting the Auxiliary Diabetes Foundation.

Live music by Easy Country begins at 1:30, the horseshoe tournament starts at 3.

First-year Kingman High volleyball coach Traci Rosenbach has released the summer schedule for the Lady Bulldog spikers.

Beginning June 15 and continuing through July 7, open gym for high school students every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The volleyball conditioning program is already in progress and takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 to 8:30 a.m. on the KHS track through July 30.

The KHS Volleyball camp is scheduled for Aug. 2-6 in preparation for tryouts set to begin Aug. 9.

A free financial fitness seminar is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today as the Coffee at the College event for June at Mohave Community College, Neal Campus-Kingman.

The seminar in the Student Center, Room 200F, features Dave Brown and Tony Camino of Primerica Financial Services, who will introduce basic common sense financial concepts that can help people overcome the obstacles they face and achieve their goals. Primerica's national sales director, Trent Kartchner, said the presentation "will help you better understand that the ultimate key to financial success is knowledge, how money works, how to make responsible and well-informed decisions, and how to get the best value for the dollars you spend."
