American Legion Post 14: The Legion will hold a flag disposal ceremony at the post on Saturday, June 12, starting at 9 a.m. The public and post members are encouraged to attend the ceremony. Cactus Critters 4-H Club: The regular class for the Canine Group of the Cactus Critters will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, at the Fairgrounds. Please be on time! All 4-H members with dogs are welcome. Leaders and parents are always welcome. Remember, you have only two more classes before the end of the season. Bring water for your dog and plastic bag for clean-up. Wear closed-toe shoes. If you cannot come to class, please call your instructor by Friday night at (928) 565-9323.

Friday Afternoon Bridge Club: On June 4, the winners were: first place, Shirley Lantz and Sandy Miles; second place, Jim Blaschak and Trey Gordon; third place, Lois Viola and Wolfgang Vorbau; and tied for fourth, M.J. Clegg and J.T. Perkins, and Bert Leenhouts and Lorraine Frazza. All players are welcome.

Help Animals Lives Today: Dog walking/socialization is held everyday at HALT from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (weather permitting). The new summer hours for dog training will be from 9 to 10 a.m. every Saturday at HALT. Foster homes are needed. Mutt Matchers and Friends: Mutt Matchers has initiated a new program called SPOT - Stop Pet Overpopulation Together. SPOT will provide free spay and neuter of dogs for low-income families that meet the requirements in the greater Kingman area. Applications and instructions can be found on our Web site: www.muttmatchers.org. Applications can also be picked up at our adoption center at 1001 Buchanan St. in Kingman on Wednesdays and Saturdays between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. only. In order for this program to be on-going, we are requesting that the community donate generously to help with this effort to stop unwanted litters. Help SPOT work! Mail donations to P.O. VFW Post 10386: The dinner, starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, will be linguini with clam sauce and shrimp, salad, garlic bread and cheesecake for dessert. Following the dinner at 6:30, we will have a flag retirement ceremony. Anyone wishing to properly dispose of American flags may bring them to the post.
