Morning Glories Community and Family Interest Club: The officers for the Morning Glories CFI Club were installed recently to serve for the next club year by past president (1969 to 1971) Jean Conrath, using a Tapestry theme. Life is a colorful tapestry woven upon the loom of our personalities. Just as a tapestry is made up of a variety of colors, the new officers reflect the variety of training and skills, which they need in their new roles. An important function of this CFI club, along with the CFIC Desert Daisies and Meadview Quail, is to raise money for scholarships and we also donate to various charities. On April 13, the scholarship committee announced the five students from Mohave County high schools who were chosen to each receive a $1,000 scholarship. The University of Arizona Mohave County Extension Educator Lynne Durrant contributes a substantial amount to the scholarship fund. She is also a source of continuing education for the membership.
