St. Mary Roman Catholic Church

This weekend,  March 13-14th,  St. Mary Roman Catholic Church will celebrate the Third Sunday of Lent. The weekend Mass schedule is as follows:

Saturday, March 13th:

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.  Confession (Confesión)

5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass

Sunday, March 14th:

8:00 a.m. Mass

10:30 a.m. Mass

5:00 p.m. Misa en español  (Mass in Spanish)

Call the Parish Office at 753-3359 for additional information on Reconciliation (Confession) , daily Mass times, etc.

On the Fridays of Lent, the Stations of the Cross will be recited at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Church.

The Friday daily Mass during Lent will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Church. There will be no morning Mass on these Fridays of Lent. Just a reminder:  The Fridays of Lent are days of fasting and abstinence from meat/poultry for Roman Catholics. If you have questions, please call the Parish Office at 753-3359.

The Pro-Life Group will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9th, at the Parish Center. If you are concerned about life issues facing our society and world, you are invited to attend our meeting!

Tuesday, March 9th, is the date of the City Election. The back half of the Parish Center will be used as a polling place (via the side entrance). The Office is still open during our regular hours (use the front entrance as usual).

All ladies of the parish are encouraged to attend the monthly meeting of the Belles of St. Mary's at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March  10th, at the Parish Center. Get acquainted and learn about our ministry of hospitality and service to our parish!

Everyone is invited to the Fish Fry on Friday, March 12th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at the corner of Butler and Bond Streets.  Fish, fries and coleslaw will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $7.50 per person; children 12 and under $3.75.

Your gift to the Charity and Development Appeal for the Diocese of Phoenix will help support over seventy ministries/helping organizations within our Diocese (including Kingman and Mohave County programs). Your support of this appeal will help our seniors, our seminarians, families, young mothers and assist in providing for the spiritual and corporal needs of those needing assistance in this difficult economic climate. Many thanks to all who think of the annual Christmas Jail Ministry project throughout the year! We will not be able to accept magazines, Christmas cards, etc. for this effort until September, due to lack of space. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you may be able to hold your donations until then! Thank you all again for your help!

This liturgical year, 2009-2010, has been proclaimed the Year of the Priest by Pope Benedict XVI. We urge everyone to join our Holy Father in praying for vocations and for all Priests, Deacons, Religious and seminarians, as they fulfill their mission of spreading the Good News of salvation!
