Air Force Band performs here Monday

KINGMAN - Kingman residents will be tapping their toes Monday night to the sweet sounds of jazz.

The United States Air Force Band of the West's Dimensions in Blue Jazz Ensemble will hold a free concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church, 1850 Gates Ave.

The band not only plays classics from Duke Ellington and Count Basie, and contemporary pieces from Rob McConnell, Bob Mintze and Frank Mantooth, it also recreates the look and sound of a 1940's Glenn Miller Army Air Corps Jazz Band.

The band's visit to Kingman is sponsored by the Kingman Daily Miner.
