Cheri "Beanie" L. Cox, born Sept. 26, 1960, in Torrance, Calif., to Willis and Joyce (Holliday) Gorley of Kingman, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
"Beanie" is well known by many; she will be loved and missed by all whose heart she has touched, including her pets. She spent the majority of her life living in Kingman.
She is survived by her three children, Nathan Cox of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Sean and Rhiannon Sullivan of Kingman; her partner of 21 years, Russell Sullivan of Kingman; her stepsons, Rustin Sullivan of Rattan, Okla., and Justin Sullivan of Kingman; her mother, Joyce (Joe) Kurimski of Bussey, Iowa; her sisters, Mary Jo (Bill) Evans of West Valley City, Utah, Suzy (Jim) Merritt of Kingman, Cindy (Dave) Overton of Kellogg, Iowa, and (Pat) Gorley of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Willis Gorley, her late husband, Dayton Wilson Cox Jr., and her brother, Jerry Gorley.
A memorial for Cheri "Beanie" L. Cox will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, at First Pentecostal Church Of God, 4087 N. Eagle Drive.
