KINGMAN - A 64-year-old Henderson, Nev., man remained in serious condition this week following an accident Friday morning on Andy Devine Avenue.

Police say the motorcyclist was westbound on Andy Devine Avenue and was approaching the intersection at Castle Rock Road around 10:30 a.m. Friday when the driver of a Toyota sedan drove into the rider's path.

The sedan was waiting in the median to cross the westbound lanes of Andy Devine when he drove across the road, colliding with the motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider was thrown about 60 feet. He was airlifted to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas with head injuries following the accident. He was listed in serious condition Monday.

The driver of the sedan, identified by police as 46-year-old Dennis Durbin of Kingman, was cited for failure to yield. He received minor injuries in the accident.

A passenger in his car was transported to Hualapai Mountain Medical Center for injuries sustained when the front passenger airbag deployed, causing minor facial injuries.
