Roger Pewsey passed away at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010. Roger was born on May 1, 1931, in Rembrandt, Iowa, where he grew up.
He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean conflict, and after discharge, went to work for General Dynamics in San Diego in the missile division. He transferred to Cape Canaveral, Fla., in 1957 where he met his future wife, Luci. They were married in January 1958 and moved with General Dynamics to Edwards Air Force Base in California, and then to Santa Maria to work at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
In 1968, the family moved to San Diego and Roger entered the information technology field, working as IT manager at Doctor's Hospital and later at Insurance Company of the West before retiring in 1993 and moving to Kingman.
Roger loved to fly and held a private pilot's license and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was active in the Route 66 Riders motorcycle club and the Harley Owners Group.
Roger was preceded in death by his son, Russell, and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Luci, and his daughter, Lori Lefebvre of Surprise. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
No services are planned, but friends and family will gather at a later date to celebrate his memory.
