Jones/Lloyd win KBC tourney at Lake Havasu

KINGMAN - The team of Micah Jones and Danny Lloyd put together a solid stringer of five bass to easily win the Kingman Bass Club's October tournament that was held at Lake Havasu.

Jones/Lloyd's five bass weighed 12.68 pounds and included the tournament's largest fish, a lunker that weighed 4 pounds.

Second-place honors were garnered by Ben Gross and Norm Montgomery, whose five-fish limit pushed the scales to 10.90 pounds.

Art Fuller and Pete Byers took third place with a limit that weighed 9.62 pounds.

A total of 25 bass, both largemouth and smallmouth, were brought to the scales by the seven teams that fished in the one-day tournament on this Colorado River impoundment.

The KBC's next tournament will be held on Nov. 13 at Princess Cove on Lake Mohave.
