Mohave 911: Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Clark Mason, 48, of Golden Valley Oct. 4 for felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as misdemeanor shoplifting and several outstanding warrants. Deputies responded to a shoplifting report at a convenience store in the 3600 block of Highway 68 around 6:15 p.m. Oct. 3. Deputies contacted an employee who said two male subjects took a candy bar and two fountain sodas without paying. Deputies reviewed the surveillance video and identified the subjects. Further investigations led deputies to a residence in the 3800 block of Bonita Road where Mason was located hiding inside a bathroom. A search of Mason reportedly revealed a cigarette case containing a marijuana cigarette located in his pants. During conversations with Mason, he said that he thought his friend paid for the items at the store. A records check showed Mason to have two felony warrants issued by Mohave County Superior Court for probation violation and burglary. The friend was also arrested for misdemeanor shoplifting.
