Governor Jan Brewer certainly demonstrated in last Wednesday's debate that she is not a capable governor for Arizona. Her time as secretary of state did not prepare her for this position, while Terry Goddard's service as Arizona attorney general seems to have served him well for this office.
Jan Brewer takes credit for 70,000-100,000 jobs and most of the $1.2 billion primarily for teachers and infrastructure created in our state by the federal stimulus (see recovery.gov). Goddard has been battling the cartels responsible for the drug and human trafficking across our border and has been cracking down on the illegal immigrant hiring business practices.
Jan Brewer's refusal to retract the unfounded "headless border crossers" rumor shows, sadly, what her campaign is about.
We are asked to choose this November between a candidate of fear and hate or a candidate of progress.
Please vote, and please vote wisely, in November.
