Chilling on Beale Street

KINGMAN - Chillin' on Beale Street, sponsored by the Kingman Route 66 Association, is from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 in downtown Kingman. Along with an Anything with Wheels Auto Show (no entry fee), Chillin' on Beale Street will celebrate the launch of a new book, "Greetings from Route 66," with contributions by Kingman author and Route 66 expert Jim Hinckley.

Bob "Boze" Bell, editor of True West Magazine and a former Kingman resident whose father, Art Bell, owned the Flying A gas station in Kingman (profiled in the book), will give away a signed copy of "Greetings" to one lucky winner. A special dash magnet will be presented to the owners of the first 200 vehicles sporting any Route 66 promotional material.
