Robert Bowen Brown passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Kingman Regional Medical Center while in recovery after surgery. He was in his 86th year.
Bob was born on Aug. 28, 1925, in Ann Arbor, Mich., son of Walter E. and Caroline B. Brown. He served in the Navy from March 1, 1944, to June 13, 1946. He graduated from Idaho State University in the spring of 1949 with a degree in business.
On July 26, 1951, he married Barbara Cox in Pocatello, Idaho. He worked for Ralston Purina for 25 years, becoming an executive vice president of the company in Canada. Bob and Barb returned to Pocatello in 1985 and moved to Dolan Springs in 2001.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Barb; sister-in-law, Salley Gasser of Pocatello; eldest child, Van, his wife Teresa (Wellard) of Caldwell, Idaho; grandchildren, Melissa and Cecil Del'Lamare; Chris and Amber (Kunz); Brianna and Kyle Coombs; and six great-grandchildren; his middle child, Craig and his wife Louise (Weber) of Hanover, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Cory, Kyle and Katelyn; and daughter, JoAnne Ragusa of Larkspur, Colo.; grandchildren, Tony and Dominic; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Walter Elliot Jr.; and his sister, Caroline Gorsline.
Bob will be missed by his dear friends and family, however, we are quite confident there is quite a shindig occurring on the other side. If you're really quiet, you just might hear it. Just heard brother-in-law Clark laugh, it carries for miles.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the KRMC Foundation [firstname.lastname@example.org, (928) 757-0664] or the Cancer Society.
