KINGMAN - Kingmanites now have a new place to go to fix dings, scratches and more serious damage to their automobiles.

Husband and wife team Rick and Penny Niemeyer are preparing to open the area's first MAACO Collision Repair and Auto Painting store at the northeast corner of Gordon Drive and Arizona Street this coming week.

"We do collision repair and auto body and paint," Penny said. "If people have a couple little minor dents from grocery carts and want to spruce up their paint job, we can match to manufacturer paint."

This week will feature a "soft" opening, with a grand opening to be announced by MAACO HQ some time in the next few months. Founded in 1972 and famous for the catchphrase "Uh-oh, better get MAACO," the company has approximately 475 locations across North America, with a combined total of 16.5 million vehicles served over its 38-year history.

Once it opens, the Kingman MAACO will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. For more information, call (928) 692-5190.
