Mohave 911: Friday, Sept. 24, 2010

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Amberlee Jo Crabtree, 27, of Golden Valley Monday, Sept. 20, for aggravated DUI (passenger under 15 years of age), child abuse, endangerment, aggravated assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest, all felonies. Deputies were dispatched to the 3100 block of Tooman Road around 6 p.m. in reference to a woman chasing a man on a motorcycle with her car. While en route, deputies were informed that the female driver, identified as Crabtree, was intoxicated and that she tried to hit the man numerous times with her vehicle with a child in the vehicle with her. Deputies were advised that Crabtree left the area driving a blue Ford Focus and was likely en route to a residence in the area of Highway 68 and Aztec Road. Deputies responded to the area and located the vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 3200 block of Aztec Road. As deputies approached, they observed Crabtree standing near the driver side of the vehicle and another female adult standing with children near the vehicle. Crabtree walked toward the deputies, and they reported seeing her swaying from side to side and stumbling as she walked. Crabtree allegedly became extremely argumentative while speaking with deputies and said that she was not driving the vehicle. Deputies contacted the female adult standing near the vehicle who said Crabtree had just driven up with her 9-year-old daughter. Deputies observed the vehicle was in park and the engine was still running. Crabtree started yelling while she walked toward the deputy, at which point she was arrested. Crabtree resisted while she walked to the patrol unit. During a brief struggle, Crabtree kicked a deputy a couple times. She refused to submit to a breath analysis. A blood sample was taken from Crabtree to be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident. Deputies attempted to make contact with Crabtree's boyfriend, the male subject she was chasing with her vehicle, but he was not located. This incident remains under investigation pending contact with the male subject and the lab results.
