Peggy Vamosy

Peggy Jean (Fowler) Vamosy of Kingman passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 20, 2011. She walked with Jesus through heaven's gates to once again dance in the arms of her true love, Dennis. Peggy, the daughter of Jack and Ollie Fowler, was born Oct. 29, 1941, in Goree, Texas.

Peggy met and married the love of her life, Dennis S. Vamosy. Together, in love and marriage, his and hers, became the "Vamosy Bunch." As a true Texan, Peggy had an enthusiastic and bubbly personality, and made friends with everyone she met. She loved to entertain and play games with family and friends. Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh will be missed. Peggy and Dennis led many children to the Lord with a puppet ministry (Caraway Street) they started in Phoenix. They shared this ministry when they moved to Tehachapi, Calif. She continued to serve the Lord with her church family in Kingman at College Park Baptist Church. She will be missed by family and friends from California to New York.

Peggy is survived by her sister, Beverly Bryan; son, Michael Greer (Ellen); daughters, Marty Hamling (Chris), Bonnie Hogg (David), and Jeri Williams; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sons, Jack A. Greer and Richard S. Vamosy.

Please join family and friends in celebrating the life of our hero, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at College Park Baptist Church, 1990 Jagerson Ave., Kingman. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
