KINGMAN - Congregation Or Midbar (Light of the Desert) holds its annual Passover Seder at 4 p.m. April 22 at the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center, 1776 Airway Ave.
Jews celebrate freedom from slavery, commemorating the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt during Passover. The Hagada, a book that tells the story of the Jewish people leaving Egypt to escape the Pharaoh, is read. During this holiday, certain foods are strictly forbidden while others appear only at Passover.
Matzo balls and Gefilte fish, as well as other traditional foods, will be served as part of our complete dinner at this year's Seder. Children are included in the activities by asking the traditional four questions. Everyone is welcome!
Call (928) 565-3441 to make your reservation by Wednesday. The cost for non-members is $20 for adults and $50 for families, and the cost for congregation members is $10 for adults and $25 for families.
