AZGF to hear fall hunt recommendations today

KINGMAN - The Arizona Game & Fish Department will be hosting an informational open house from 3-5 p.m. at the Region III office at 5325 N. Stockton Hill Road. The open house will go from 3-5 p.m.

Sportsmen and others are invited to review and then ask questions about the proposed fall hunt recommendations.

While there will be no formal presentation, those who attend can speak with the Region III Game Specialist, Erin Butler about the recommendations the region is making this year.

One item of interest for local sportsmen will deal with the region's recommendation on deer hunts in the Hualapai Mountains, Unit 16A.

Butler noted that the region is requesting a reduction in both general- and junior-muzzleloader deer tags.

Butler said that lower hunt success and surveys are the reasons for the reductions.

The region's other recommendations can be found by going to www.azgfd.gov/huntguidelines.

This is the opportunity for local sportsmen to comment on the department's proposed recommendations.
