Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Wayne Patrick Willis, 46, of Golden Valley Thursday for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of weapon during drug offense, felonies, and driving with suspended license, misdemeanor. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling with expired registration tags around 1:16 p.m. on Abrigo Drive at Escuela Road and contacted Willis, the driver. Willis said that he recently purchased the vehicle from a friend, hadn't registered it, didn't have vehicle insurance and his driver's license was suspended. He also reportedly said that he had a gun in his right pocket. He was arrested without incident. Deputies confiscated the .32 handgun and located a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance. A records check confirmed Willis to have a suspended driver's license and a computer check confirmed the vehicle registration to be expired. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Comfort Heather Ruggiero, 31, of Golden Valley April 11 for felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies contacted a suspicious female subject in the 2900 block of Hearne Avenue. Eventually, the female subject said she provided a false name because she thought that she might have a warrant. Deputies detained the female subject, eventually identified as Ruggiero. A search of Ruggiero's purse reportedly revealed a glass pipe with residue, numerous plastic bags containing a white crystal residue and a plastic half cut straw. A records check showed no outstanding warrants. Ruggiero was arrested without incident.
